Colorado is famous for some of the best 'champagne powder' in the world
and Copper gets plenty of it - 710 cms annually, making it the longest
ski season in the west! As well as its terrific snow record,
this high altitude resort is also famous for its blue-sky with over
300 days of sunshine a year. Combine that with it's naturally divided
terrain, dubbed "the most nearly perfect ski mountain in all of
North America" by the US Forest Service since all the beginner
terrain lies to the west, intermediate in the middle and expert to the
east, and at the top spectacular back bowls provide hundreds of acres
of ungroomed expert only trails for some of the most challenging skiing
and boarding in Colorado!
And finally, a village that lives up to its mountain! Copper's newly
completed pedestrian village now adds a magical feel to the resort,
with a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, complemented by
the impressive Athletic Centre with it's giant indoor pool, hot tubs
and outdoor ice skating rink. Whilst only a short drive away is the
quaint mining town of Frisco, offering an additional 30 restaurants
and 40 shops, Silverthorne/Dillon, home to huge outlet malls offering
up to 70% discounts on designer brands.
