Flights

Ski America are very pleased to have partnered up with British Airways for our North American programme. On the ground and in the air, British Airways sets itself the highest standards, so you can be sure we will get your holiday off to a flying start. For your Ski America holiday choose between World Traveller (standard economy) or World Traveller Plus (the ultimate in economy travel).



World Traveller Class:

 A choice of check-in options.
 Pre-allocated seats, subject to availability

 Soft adjustable 'ears' to support the head and neck
 Adjustable lumbar support and footrest
 Personal video screen with 12 video and audio channels
 New menus with a choice of delicious food options

World Traveller Plus additional features:

 Twice the hand baggage allowance - 2 pieces up to a total of 12 kg
 A quiet, more private cabin 'away from the crowd' with a maximum of 5 rows of larger seats with 7'' more leg room.
 Adjustable lumber support, leg and foot rests.

Airports

Ski America airports are usually Gatwick and Heathrow. For regional departures, we are able to offer excellent value add-on fares.

Tickets

Scheduled airlines need full names for all passengers, as they appear on passports. Once tickets have been booked name changes may not be possible and once issued are likely to incur a charge levied by the airline, not Ski America.

Passports and Visas

Canada, all UK citizens are visa-exempt and will be issued with an entry stamp valid for 3 months on arrival. For non-UK residents and overseas students please check with the Canadian High Commission by logging onto http:\\www.canada.org.uk .
USABritish passport holders will need to have machine-readable passpors in order to enterthe US on the 'Visa Waiver programme'. All infants and childeren must have their own machine-readable passports in their own name. Anyone who holds a non-machine-readable passport will need to apply for a US non-immigrant visa prior to travel in the US. Non UK residents and overseas students should check with the American Embassy on 09068 200290 or log onto http://www.usembassy.org.uk to check their position regarding visas.
Please note: under proposed US legislation, any British Passport issued on or after 26th October 2006, must be of biometric type in order for travellers to enter the States under the 'Visa Waiver Programme'. If not, visitors must apply for a visa prior to travelling. This requirement does not apply to existingUK passports or to those issued before October 26th 2006.
The UK authorities are hopeful that they will be ready to issue biometric passports by this deadline however you are advised to check regularly with UK Passport Office and the US Embassy as to the latest entry reuirements to the USA.

Which terminal

If your departure airport has more than one terminal, the information relevant to your flight will be printed on your itinerary, issued 2 weeks prior to departure.

Check in

You need to check-in 3 hours prior to departure.

Luggage allowance

We recommend careful adherence to the limits. Excess charges can be high. The allowance with British Airways is 1 pieces, each up to 158cms (62ins) in total dimensions (length + height + width) and maximum weight 23kg each. One set of skis with boots is considered as one piece of checked luggage.

Seats

If you require seats to be pre booked please advise at the time of booking (this will be subject to availability).

Other Airlines

If we are unable to book British Airways then other carriers may include United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Continental and KLM. Direct flights will be used wherever possible.

Transfers - Car hire included

Ski America offer "Fully Inclusive" car hire. It's really simple. You just pick up your car from the airport and have total freedom to visit other resorts with your Ski America car, make shopping trips and do some sightseeing. You are given all the necessary documents. A credit card imprint must be lodged with the car hire company, which will be returned unused if the car is returned undamaged. You must be over 21, and if you are under 25 there will be a supplement.
